Light Vehicle Technician / Motor Mechanic

We are seeking driven and dedicated people to join our growing team for immediate start.

 

The successful applicants will perform the following key tasks  at our Mackay workshop:

  • Service and maintain light vehicles.

  • Demonstrate a high level of technical understanding to complete effective inspection, diagnostics and repairs to defective parts for diesel/petrol engines, transmissions, clutches, cooling systems, brakes, steering, electrical and fuel systems.

  • Performing scheduled and preventative maintenance services such as oil and filter changes. 

  • Contribute to safe and efficient work practices to ensure customer satisfaction in line with our company ethos and mission statement.

  • Use in-house operating systems to generate reports and accurately capture data as required.

  • Ensure a high standard of quality and cleanliness throughout daily procedures.

 

Skills and Experience:

Essential-

  • Minimum Cert III Trade qualifications as a light vehicle technician or equivalent

  • Valid Australian drivers licence (minimum P plates) or ability to obtain

  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team.

  • Highly developed communication skills to contribute effectively to a team and excellent customer service

  • Capability to problem solve and think outside the box

  • Possess a genuine willingness to learn new skills on the job

  • Commitment to safety protocols

Preferred-

  • OEM experience

  • Post trade experience. 

  • Experience on electrical systems

  • Automotive Air Conditioning licence
